How to Use Glass Koat

Follow these steps to ensure a flawless application:
Step 1: Preparation
- Clean the glass surface thoroughly, ensuring it is free from dirt, grime, and smudges. Use a high-quality glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
- For optimal results, especially on vehicle windshields, consider using a clay bar or similar product to remove any contaminants in the glass.
- Ensure the glass is completely dry before proceeding.
Step 2: Application
- Shake the Glass Koat bottle well to ensure even distribution of the Nanoparticles.
- Apply a small amount of Glass Koat onto a microfiber applicator or a lint-free cloth.
- Working on a small section at a time, spread the coating evenly in a crisscross pattern (horizontal and vertical strokes) to ensure uniform coverage.
- Allow the coating to bond with the glass for 1-2 minutes (or as directed on the product label).
Step 3: Buffing
- Using a clean, dry microfiber towel, gently buff off any excess product, ensuring no streaks or residues are left behind.
- Repeat the application and buffing process until the entire glass surface is covered.
Step 4: Curing Time
- It's crucial to let the coating cure properly. Avoid getting the glass wet or touching the surface for at least 24 hours after application.
- For vehicle windshields, avoid using wipers for at least 24 hours.
Maintenance Tips:
- To maximize the lifespan of the coating, clean the glass regularly using a pH-neutral, non-abrasive cleaner.
- For vehicle windshields, consider using wiper blades that are in good condition to prevent premature wear of the coating.
- For building windows, it's recommended to inspect the coating every 2-3 years to ensure it's still providing optimal water repellency.
